Some Universal 1 Credit Union (U1) members have received text messages from fraudsters asking them to confirm specific charges and/or transactions. The text messages appear to be coming from U1’s Main Office phone number: 937-225-6800.

Please do not respond or click any links in the text message. This is a scam. U1 will never contact members via text, call or email asking for personal or account information. It is important that members never give their account information, including credit/debit card PIN and online banking credentials, to anyone.

If you receive a similar text or phone call, please:

  • Do not click on any links
  • Do not respond
  • Do not send any personal or account information to the recipient
  • Delete the text or ignore the phone call.

Contact U1 directly at 937-225-6800 or 800-543-5000 if you have any questions or concerns about this matter.

We take online security very seriously here at U1. Protecting your personal information is important to us and we want to make sure you stay vigilant with these types of scams. Remember, U1 will never text, call or email you asking for personal account information.

Visit our Online Security page for tips on protecting your personal information and reporting any security issues.
