    Universal 1 Credit Union (U1) members, Nicholas Haehn of Springboro High School and Tyler Jachimski of Carroll High Schoolausfeld were each awarded this year’s Glen R Kershner Memorial Scholarship of $1,000.00. The 2020 graduates have built an impressive list of accomplishments that has provided many opportunities for scholarship offers and grants to attend major universities.

    Coronavirus ScamsWith many people facing financial challenges, cybercriminals are taking advantage by creating various scams in order to obtain access to your personal information and money. To help, we're highlighting some of these scams so you're aware and vigilant during such a vulnerable time.  

    Something to keep in mind with the amount of scams going on: Any email, text or phone call asking for personal or account information, cash, gift card or money wires are red flags and most likely a scam.

  • Coronavirus (COVID-19) Awareness (March 12, 2020)

    At Universal 1 Credit Union, member and employee safety is our #1 priority.  U1 is closely monitoring the evolving circumstances related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We have created an assessment team which is dedicated to meeting and reviewing the most current guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and state and local authorities to make proactive adjustments to our preparedness and response plan.

    As new information arises, our assessment team will update our website to ensure proper communication to you.  While we do not know how impactful the coronavirus will be, rest assured that our Business Continuity plan is in place and we do not anticipate any impact to our daily operations.

  • Unity in the Community 4 (January 10, 2020)

    Universal 1 Credit Union Unity in the CommunityDAYTON, Ohio – Rivals Chaminade Julienne and Carroll High Schools battled on the basketball court with CJ claiming an overtime thriller. But they declared truce at halftime as they celebrated their third annual “Unity in the Community” campaign with the presentation of the $1,000 Unity Award to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.

  • Unity in the Community 3 (January 7, 2020)

    Unity in the Community Fairmont vs. AlterKETTERING, Ohio – Rivals Fairmont and Alter High Schools joined forces to help fight world hunger in their fifth annual “Unity in the Community” campaign by dedicating the $1,000 Unity award to the Lesotho Nutrition Initiative in a halftime presentation at the Jan. 4 Fairmont-Alter basketball game. “Unity in the Community” is a partnership between Archbishop Alter and Fairmont High Schools, Community Blood Center and Universal 1 Credit Union. Both schools host fall blood drives and jointly present a $1,000 award sponsored by Universal 1 to a designated charity.

    Riverside Stebbins & Fairborn High School help needy families with Unity in the Community Award. Mad River Lions Club was the recipient of the Universal 1 $1,000 award. Read the full press release.

    West Carrollton and Miamisburg High Schools celebrated completion of the sixth annual “Unity in the Community” campaign by presenting the $1,000 Unity Award for 2019 to CARE House of Dayton during halftime of the rivals’ Dec. 14 basketball game at West Carrollton. Read full press release.

  • Spoofing Calls (November 11, 2019)

    If you receive calls that appear to be from a U1 number and the caller claiming to be from our fraud department, this is a spoofing attempt. The individuals will request personal account information and attempt to takeover the account. As a reminder, U1 will NEVER call or email you asking for personal or account information. If you have any questions or concerns about emails, websites or unsolicited calls related to Universal 1, please call our eCommerce representatives at 800-543-5000 option 0 or 937-431-3100 option 0.
